...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 1 PM EST
WEDNESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND RAPIDS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW... FREEZING RAIN... AND SLEET...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 1 PM EST WEDNESDAY.

IMPACTS...

* ROADS AND SIDEWALKS WILL BECOME SLICK EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING
AS A COMBINATION OF SNOW... SLEET... AND FREEZING RAIN OVERSPREADS
THE AREA.

* ALLOW MORE TRAVEL TIME DURING THE WEDNESDAY MORNING COMMUTE TO
WORK DUE TO ICY ROADS.


HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

* WET SNOW IS EXPECTED BY 4 AM ALONG AND NORTH OR ROUTE 10. THAT
WILL MIX WITH SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN BY MID MORNING.
TEMPERATURES SHOULD RISE ABOVE FREEZING BY EARLY AFTERNOON.

* EXPECT 2 TO 4 INCHES OF WET SNOW BETWEEN 4 AM AND NOON NEAR AND
NORTH OF ROUTE 10...MOSTLY EAST OF BALDWIN.

* BETWEEN INTERSTATE 96 AND ROUTE 10 EXPECT MIXED SNOW AND
FREEZING RAIN AROUND THE MORNING COMMUTE TIME. THE
PRECIPITATION MAY BEGIN IS PLAIN RAIN BUT CHANGE TO A MIX OF
FREEZING RAIN AND SNOW BY 4 TO 5 AM.

* WARMING TEMPERATURES WILL CHANGE THE PRECIPITATION SOUTH OF
ROUTE 10 BACK TO JUST RAIN BY LATE MORNING.

* A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...
SLEET...OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE
